Russian spy satellite reportedly continues suspicious maneuvers

A Russian inspector satellite named Luch 2 has been engaging in suspicious maneuvers near various communications satellites, according to the space tracking firm Slingshot Aerospace. The satellite, in orbit for over a year, has been observed positioning itself close to these satellites, indicating a potential signals intelligence-gathering mission. Slingshot's automated tracking system detected a significant maneuver on June 23, suggesting Luch 2 is moving towards an Intelsat communications satellite. The company predicts Luch 2's next target is the Intelsat 1002 satellite, with a potential maneuver expected on June 28. Luch 2's behavior resembles that of its predecessor, Luch Olymp-K-1, known for similar activities. While Slingshot couldn't confirm if Luch 2 intercepts communications, they aim to inform satellite operators for decision-making. The satellite has previously approached various communications satellites closely, raising concerns about its intentions and activities in space.

Isn't it logical to assume that the US has also already been doing these shenanigans considering that their space program is claimed to be far more advanced than those of Russians? Maybe, even the Chinese are doing it?
