WARNING: video shows a man dying - One that stuck with me is Franz Reichelt's "Death Jump" where he tests a parachute he has invented by jumping off the Eiffel Tower - https://www.britishpathe.com/asset/92596/ - permission had been granted for him to test his parachute with dummy drops but he surprised everyone by making the jump himself.
