Troubleshooting my offline Zpool

The author experienced issues with their 8 x 6TB iron wolf raid-z2 zfs array, where four of the eight disks were showing errors and offline. After troubleshooting, they rebooted the server, checked the motherboard's slim-SAS connectors, and jiggled the SATA power leads. Eventually, by juggling the power leads, all eight drives reappeared, and the zpool imported successfully. The author plans to order a new SATA power cable as a long-term solution. They emphasized the importance of systematically checking potential problems and addressing them one at a time. The root cause was likely a faulty power lead, and the short-term fix involved jiggling the connections. By following a methodical approach, the author was able to identify the issue and devise a plan for a permanent solution.
