Mozilla wants you to like Firefox over Chrome with extended Windows 7/8 support

Mozilla is planning to extend support for its Firefox browser on Windows 7, 8, and 8.1, aiming to cater to users abandoned by Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. The decision follows an AMA session on Reddit where Mozilla's leadership team discussed the strategy. Byron Jourdan, Senior Director of Product Management at Mozilla, confirmed the extended support plan for Windows 7 and hinted at including Windows 8 and 8.1 as well. While the duration of this extended support is yet to be determined, Mozilla aims to provide users of older Windows versions with an updated browser option. Despite these operating systems having a smaller user base, Mozilla seems keen on retaining and attracting users by offering continued support. This move comes in response to the end of support from major competitors, signaling Mozilla's commitment to inclusivity and user satisfaction.

Too bad I have already jumped ship from firefox and windows. Though I do commend their efforts of supporting the last tolerable windows. Using a better browser is a safer way to browse the internet should be something we all learned from the IE6 days.
