Cofounder matching for indie hackers and bootstrappers

A platform called Cofounder Dating has been established for indie hackers to connect with potential cofounders. Hosted by Nate Ritter, the platform offers a quick 2-minute profile setup and curated cofounder connections sent via email monthly. It aims to match builders with marketers, regardless of having a specific idea or immediate venture capital goals. The initiative addresses the challenge indie hackers face in finding suitable cofounders, catering to those looking to start side hustles or lifestyle businesses rather than aiming for rapid growth like in Y Combinator's cofounder dating. The program emphasizes a thorough application review and profile moderation to ensure genuine connections and avoid superficial promises. Cofounder Dating is designed to facilitate partnerships between individuals with complementary skills in building and marketing, providing a free and curated platform for collaboration.

Finding a cofounder is hard! Cheers for trying this type again. Are StartupWeekend still a thing? Way back (~2008) they were these "idea to revenue" folk would join, some would pitch, others would join teams then work over the weekend building. Get a chance to evaluate your peers in the game. And the time box adds pressure.

Just a design comment: the animated line background takes away from the user experience. It doesn’t add.

Stuff like this always has negative selection effects unless there’s some aggressive vetting up front

The domain on the email clickback, https://click.convertkit-mail2.com/, literally doesn’t resolve for me.

EDIT: because I was using quad9 doh, and this domain is on their blocklist
