ClickHouse acquires PeerDB to expand its Postgres support

ClickHouse, a real-time analytics database startup, has acquired PeerDB, a company specializing in Postgres replication and change data capture. This acquisition aims to enhance ClickHouse's support for Postgres, which is widely used by its enterprise customers, including major firms like Deutsche Bank and Microsoft. ClickHouse previously offered a Postgres connector, but PeerDB's technology promises speed improvements of up to 10 times and additional specialized capabilities. PeerDB's co-founder, Sai Srirampur, emphasized the company's focus on quality ETL tools for Postgres, which includes efficient data replication and synchronization between Postgres databases and data warehouses like ClickHouse. The acquisition reflects ClickHouse's recognition of the growing demand for such tools, as many customers utilize Postgres as their primary data source for analytics. The PeerDB team will also work on expanding change data capture capabilities to other data sources. Existing PeerDB customers can continue using the PeerDB Cloud service until July 2025, and the company’s open-source components will remain unchanged. The financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed, but PeerDB had recently raised $3.6 million in seed funding. ClickHouse co-founder Yury Izrailevsky expressed confidence that the acquisition price fairly compensates PeerDB's team and investors while presenting a valuable opportunity for ClickHouse's growth.

I see PeerDB supports CDC on partitioned tables. Does it support replicating parent/child (INHERIT) tables from postgres?
