Ukraine's new tech foils Russian aerial attacks

Ukraine has developed innovative technology to counter Russian aerial attacks, particularly through pioneering acoustic detection methods. Following Russia's invasion in February 2022, Ukraine faced significant challenges in defending its airspace due to limited radar coverage and the low flight paths of many incoming drones and missiles. Traditional radar systems were often ineffective, especially as they became targets themselves. The new acoustic detection technology has shown surprising success in identifying aerial threats by analyzing sound waves produced by flying objects. This advancement has improved Ukraine's ability to detect and respond to aerial assaults, enhancing its defensive capabilities in the ongoing conflict. The article highlights the importance of adapting and innovating in military technology to address evolving threats in warfare.
