Pathfinder 1

Pathfinder 1 is a next-generation airship designed as a proof of concept, integrating historical design with modern materials and innovative engineering techniques. It features a robust nose cone made from titanium, aluminum, kevlar, and carbon fiber, capable of withstanding winds up to 80 mph. The airship is powered by twelve electric motors, which provide reliable propulsion and allow for effective directional control through a range of motion. Control is managed via a fly-by-wire system that combines pilot commands with sensor feedback to operate the motors and rudders. The structural integrity of Pathfinder 1 is supported by circular mainframes made of titanium and carbon fiber, while lidar sensors help monitor helium levels for safe operation. The landing gear, adapted from Zeppelin's NT airship, is designed for heavy loads, making it suitable for humanitarian missions. The outer covering is made from laminated Tedlar® material, known for its lightweight and durable properties. Additionally, the airship contains 13 helium bags that adjust buoyancy based on altitude, ensuring optimal performance.
