Hetzner - New tariff structure for Cloud servers and Load balancers in the USA

Starting on December 1, 2024, Hetzner Online will implement new pricing for Cloud servers and Load balancers at its US locations in Ashburn and Hillsboro. This change will affect both newly created and existing Cloud servers that are switched to a different tariff. The new pricing structure will take effect for existing services on February 1, 2025. The adjustments include increased monthly prices and reduced amounts of included traffic for various server types. For example, the price for the CPX11 server will rise from €3.85 to €4.49, with included traffic dropping from 20 TB to 1 TB. The company aims to create a fairer pricing model that reflects local conditions and resource usage, addressing the imbalance where lower resource users subsidized higher users. During the transition period, new prices will be displayed on the Cloud Console, but invoices will still reflect the old pricing until February 2025. Customers may receive early traffic warnings, but the previous traffic limits will remain valid until January 31, 2025. Customers who disagree with the changes can cancel their services at any time. Hetzner Online emphasizes that these adjustments are necessary to maintain a competitive price-performance ratio.
