All Cabinet agencies are now using Login.gov (2023)

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) announced that all Cabinet agencies are now utilizing Login.gov for various programs and applications. Launched in 2017, Login.gov provides a secure single login for Americans to access government services across over 40 federal and state agencies, streamlining access while ensuring privacy and preventing identity fraud. The initiative began with the Department of Homeland Security and has since expanded to partnerships with agencies like the Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Labor, and Railroad Retirement Board, offering secure access to services for veterans, unemployment insurance applicants, and beneficiaries. The recent agreement with the Department of Justice enables the Drug Enforcement Administration to manage online access for overseeing controlled substances. GSA Administrator Robin Carnahan highlighted the importance of providing a secure and user-friendly way for the public to access government benefits while safeguarding their privacy and preventing fraud.
