Messages and files older than one year will be deleted on a rolling basis. Free workspaces will retain access to the past 90 days of history, with the remaining 275 days available upon upgrading to a paid plan. Users can choose retention periods for stored messages and files upon upgrading. Data cannot be restored once deleted. Free workspaces can export data, and Slack for Nonprofits program participants on paid plans are not affected. Slack Connect channels on the Enterprise Grid plan will remain unaffected.
