CrowdStrike, a prominent cybersecurity platform providing solutions to Windows PCs, experienced a global outage affecting users in various countries like India, Japan, Canada, and Australia. Users reported encountering a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) error, leading to disruptions in their systems. The issue was linked to a technical error in CrowdStrike's main product, Falcon, designed to safeguard Windows systems. Users worldwide, including those from Australia, India, and the Czech Republic, were impacted by this outage. CrowdStrike acknowledged the problem and assured users that their engineers are actively working on resolving it. The company advised against opening support tickets and promised to update users once the issue is fixed. CrowdStrike Falcon offers a range of cybersecurity solutions, including endpoint protection, threat intelligence, incident response, and security updates. The outage prompted discussions on social media platforms like Reddit, with users sharing their experiences and seeking updates on the situation.

I just landed at SeaTac an hour ago and the rideshare/app pickup was absolutely nutso. Like thousands of people standing around waiting for taxis and Ubers. The one person I asked what was going on said that the computer systems at all the regional hotels are down (not sure how that makes more people need cabs). Wonder if it’s from this

Why do companies use system that rely on other system (like analytics). The platform should just run by it self and gracefully degrade if other external system doesn't work. Like a banner on top "Crowdstrike" out service on top or console log.

Not sure if related but I’m guessing it is - Ryanair airline booking is down in Europe. Just returns an error 500.
