It is engineered to last up to 1.5 million kilometers (approximately 932,000 miles) and has a lifespan of 15 years, supported by a warranty of ten years or 1 million kilometers (621,400 miles). CATL has already secured interest from 13 companies, with plans for mass production to power 80 electric buses. This launch is part of CATL's strategy to expand into the commercial vehicle market, following its dominance in the passenger EV segment. The company currently holds a significant share of the global EV battery market, accounting for 37.6% as of August 2024. Additionally, CATL is planning to establish more factories globally, including in Germany, Thailand, Hungary, Indonesia, and the US, to further enhance its production capabilities.
