Dev reports Intel's laptop CPUs are also suffering from crashing issues

Dev reports that Intel's laptop CPUs are facing crashing issues, extending beyond desktop problems. Alderon Games revealed that crashes affect Intel's 13th and 14th-Gen processors in laptops, similar to desktop faults. The instability, seen in flagship Core i9 HX series processors, persists despite attempted fixes like microcode updates. The randomness of crashes poses a challenge, with some chips only failing under specific conditions. Reports suggest degradation in many Raptor Lake chips, even below official specs. The issue is not solely related to power consumption, as data center servers also experience problems. Intel's silence on the root cause raises concerns for users, with uncertainty surrounding whether software profiles can manage the issue or if a hardware defect exists. The lack of transparency from Intel may impact future CPU purchases. The situation underscores the widespread impact of Raptor Lake instability across various platforms, highlighting the need for a comprehensive solution from Intel.

I wonder if intel can handle a recall of a cpus with this issue.

Recall or not, their handling of this issue has been sub optimal to say the least.
