A luxury yacht named Bayesian sank off the coast of Sicily during severe weather, resulting in one confirmed death and six individuals reported missing, including British tech entrepreneur Mike Lynch. The incident occurred around 04:30 local time, with 22 people aboard, of whom 15 were rescued, including a one-year-old child. The yacht was approximately 700 meters from Porticello harbor when it went down. Survivors were found in a life raft by the captain of a nearby vessel, who alerted the coastguard. The Italian Coastguard is leading the search and rescue operation, which includes divers and helicopters. The yacht, owned by Angela Bacares, Lynch's wife, was registered in the Isle of Man and had been operating in the Mediterranean. Lynch, who co-founded the software company Autonomy, has faced legal challenges in the past, including a high-profile extradition to the U.S. and subsequent acquittal on charges related to the company's valuation. Oh dear, hope that he makes it.

Very skeptical about this "tornado" causing the sinking of the yacht, after beating this case and going free on his own yacht.

Wonder if some entity wanted to settle a score or to take him out over something that was very embarrassing. Who knows.

Will have to wait until more details about this soon.
