Read original articleElon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has come under scrutiny for posting classified information regarding the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) on its new website. This information includes sensitive details about the agency's size and staff, which are typically classified and not meant for public disclosure. The website, launched to allow users to track federal spending, claims to exclude data from intelligence agencies, yet it inadvertently provides access to classified NRO information. This has raised alarms within the intelligence community, with concerns about how Musk's programmers obtained this data and the implications of their access to sensitive information. A Defense Intelligence Agency employee noted that individuals are now worried about whether their personal information has been compromised. The NRO's data is classified under NOFORN, meaning it cannot be shared with foreign entities without authorization. Despite the controversy, the NRO has deferred questions back to DOGE regarding the release of this information. The situation highlights potential risks associated with inexperienced personnel handling classified data and raises questions about the oversight of such operations.

But the part Musk was not suppose to unveil:
>> Musk can’t claim he wasn’t aware that the National Reconnaissance Office is one of the nation’s intelligence agencies. His company, SpaceX, has a $1.8 billion contract with NRO to build hundreds of spy satellites.
I imagine it's a crime if you have a security clearance. But as far as I'm aware these guys never promised not to give away classified information.
Of course they can be pardoned, and they don't even need a pardon if the Justice Department decides not to prosecute. But just as a matter of idle curiosity, has any law actually be violated?
> The website states in tiny print at the bottom that its database excludes information from U.S. intelligence agencies.
> But an easy search shows that DOGE’s database provides details on the National Reconnaissance Office, the federal agency that designs, builds and maintains U.S. intelligence satellites. Not only are NRO’s budgets and head counts classified, but the prospect of Musk’s tech team meddling in sensitive personnel information is setting off alarms for some in the intelligence community.
The NRO runs the US's spy satellites:

Does anyone know if there's non-classified data, like something similar that already exists?
Would be interesting to see (e.g. where all the contract money is, etc)
